General

Together with an increasing number of our clients, partners and our surroundings in general, we are focusing more and more our Social Responsibility. Even when being a small company, we shall do our utmost to make a difference. Recent year’s disclosure of corruption, bribery and also doubtful basis for decisions both within private and public enterprises illustrates the necessity of awareness and conscience. This is reflected in both our Quality and HSE demands, however, even when not explicit stated – this is to form the basis for our evaluation, decisions and conduct of operation.

 

 

When operating in other countries we seek to conform to the local culture and traditions, and always within the local law, accepting that this may be different from the Norwegian traditions and culture.

 

 

 

UN Global Compact

Our dedication to the UN Global Compact is in line with the above statement and also reflected in our Code of Conduct. We honor the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact:

 

Human Rights

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights

Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labour

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;

Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;

Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and

Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;

Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and

Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
